M.A. (Mack) Martin Jr.

Mack Martin has taught fly-fishing and fly-casting with Scott Swartz since 2002. When Scott moved to Florida to start the Florida Fly Fishing School, Mack took over the management of the Atlanta school and moved it to a new location in Cumming, GA. The school grew and now has five instructors and offers fly-fishing, fly-casting, advanced fly-casting and CCI preparation courses along with private lessons. (www.atlantaflyfishingschool.com)

Mack became interested in fly-fishing when he was eight years old and continued his involvement in the sport, as it later became a life long hobby. Mack has fished from the Bahamas throughout the United States to Alaska. He has floated many of the rivers in Alaska and has led numerous trips to Kodiak Island. He has also fished in many remote locations in the NWT, Canada and provides a summer fly fishing seminar at Kasba Lake Lodge, NWT. (www.Kasba.com)

He is the past president and current education director of the Upper Chattahoochee Chapter of Trout Unlimited and the current Chairman of the Georgia Council of Trout Unlimited. Mack is a FFF Master Certified Fly Casting Instructor, a CRBG Certified Professional Fly Rod Builder, and a Master scuba diver.

When not involved with the fly fishing world, Mack practices as a forensic electrical engineer and continues to pursue that career after 45+ years.
